CRPF Launches Skilling Centre For Specially Abled CAPF Troops In Telangana
New Delhi: In a bid to skill incapacitated paramilitary personnel, CRPF established a ‘National Centre for Divyang Empowerment’ (NCDE), in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana, which was inaugurated by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Thursday, reported Devi Discourse.
The centre offers skills in several fields, along with accommodation and training for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel who have suffered amputations and loss of limbs in the line of duty in the last 10 years.
Congratulating the CRPF and its personnel for their efforts to protect the nation, Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy said that, “”This centre is dedicated to those bravehearts who protect the country without any concern for their well-being.”
Central Reserve Police Force Director General A P Maheshwari spoke about the need to “evolve from being internal security warriors to cyber warriors,”
He added that the centre will train troops in “artificial intelligence and machine language, data analytics, social media monitoring, cyber security, audio visual effects, advanced animation, block chain management”, in collaboration with various companies and institutes.
As per officials, a prosthetic limbs correction wing, a mediation and physiotherapy unit, an IT lab and a para sports training school will also be available at the centre, and CRPF has stated that the entire cost of providing prosthetic limbs to amputees will be borne by them.
