CSIR-UGC NET Aspirants Can Now Apply Only With Photo And Signature: NTA
New Delhi: Aspirants of CSIR-UGC Net, June 2020 can now submit the online application form without uploading category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD) certificates or result certificates due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Since many students were facing difficulties in obtaining the certificates, therefore, the National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to allow the aspirants to submit the application with photograph and signature. However, the candidates are advised to obtain the necessary certificates which need to be produced later when demanded by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ tweeted about the relaxation on Saturday.
Dear Joint CSIR-UGC NET aspirants!
In view of the difficulties faced by you & the situation arising out of #COVID19 lockdown, I have advised @DG_NTA to relax the mandatory provision of submission/upload of the certificates, other than the photograph & signature of the candidate. pic.twitter.com/lLRbm1JZKZ— Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (@DrRPNishank) May 2, 2020
The last date for submitting the online application form is May 15.
