Koraput: The Central University of Odisha (CUO) celebrated its 11th foundation day on Thursday at its Sunebeda campus, with Vice-Chancellor Sharat Kumar Palita announcing that academic blocks and the staff quarters would be constructed in the near future.
The VC also sought support from all quarters to take CUO to greater heights. He said the ongoing research activities in the campus will elevate the stature of CUO in the country, a statement issued by the university said.
The 11th foundation day lecture was delivered by the principal of Ramanujan College, Delhi University Prof Sumat P Agarwal. In his address, he laid stress on four key areas for the overall development of education in the country.
- The teacher should explore innovative ways to impart education in keeping with the requirements and demands of modern-day learners.

University registrar Asit Kumar Das acknowledged that there are challenges confronting the university and are a source of concern. However, the challenges have to be addressed for the all-round development of the campus.
