Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia Asks Schools To Delineate Micro-Plan For Reopening Of Institutions

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy CM and Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday held an online meeting with principals of over 1,000 government schools asking them to delineate any micro-plan for reopening of educational institutions, which have been closed for over two months due to the coronavirus crisis.

The minister iterated that a common plan cannot be constructed for all the schools since the context of every school is different. “I appeal to you to lead an indepth brainstorming at the school level involving all the key stakeholders and come up with a micro-plan on how to lead the transition when the time comes,” he further added during the online interaction.

Throwing light on the essence of education, the Dy CM said, “It is not just about learning a few lessons from the textbooks but the lessons of life itself. Therefore, any plan should keep in mind all the possible situations.”

Reminiscing the first meeting between the Delhi government and principals back in 2015, after AAP’s victory, the minister talked about the crisis of times, “Back then, we thought sky is the only limit and now we are talking just about reopening the schools.”

The minister, however, showed hope and collectively promised to set new standards of school education again.
