New Delhi: A notice has been issued to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Centre and Delhi government by the Delhi High Court on a plea seeking changes in the policy for the tabulation of marks for Class X board exams. It was decided to award marks on the basis of the internal assessment conducted by the school.
The CBSE had earlier declared that Class X students will be evaluated out of a total 100 marks for each subject. Out of 100, 20 marks for internal assessment and 80 calculated from exams held throughout the year, reported news agency ANI.
“The marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in Class 10 Board examinations,” CBSE notification on the evaluation criteria said.
The board had instructed each affiliated school to set up a result committee comprising the principal and seven teachers to finalise the Class X result.
