New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday announced that schools in Delhi will remain closed in the national capital.
Sisodia, who is also the education minister of Delhi, said that parents are not in favour of schools reopening. He said that in an online press conference on Wednesday.
Schools in Delhi were to remain closed till October 31 as earlier announced by the government.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the minister wrote, “Due to Corona in Delhi, all schools will remain closed till further orders. Currently, online, semi-online studies will continue.”
Earlier, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also confirmed that schools are not reopening in the state.
In an email to the CMO, the Delhi Parents Association sent short inputs and views from 2,498 parents, almost all of whom stated they are not comfortable sending their children to schools currently, reported The Indian Express.
