New Delhi: The Delhi University (DU) on Monday received more than 19,000 applications on the first day of its online admission process for undergraduate (UG) courses, according to the university officials.
A total of 19,086 students applied for the 70,000 seats for UG programs. As per university officials, out of 19,086 students, 1,628 applications were approved, while 920 students have made the payment too.
It may be recalled that the university had announced its first cut-off list on Saturday, with the Lady Shri Ram College keeping the cut-offs for three honors courses at 100 per cent.
Shobha Bagai, DU dean (admissions), said that the admission started at 10 am and there were admission branch officials, grievance redressal officials, and nodal officers for each college to assist students.
