New Delhi: Delhi University has asked colleges to evaluate the students on the basis of only internal assignments this semester.
Issuing the guidelines for taking up internal assessments, the varsity has decided not to consider class tests, tutorial tests and attendance while marking the students keeping in view the distressing circumstances prevailing in the country.
For conducting assessments, teachers will email the assignments to the students and take up the process in an open book format using IT tools.
“The students should submit the solved assignment to the teachers via email within a defined time,” the guidelines said.
Following this, teachers will evaluate the assignments and submit the results to the principal or the head of the department for postgraduate courses, it added.
Meanwhile, the colleges will let the students avail work from home internships/projects, submit that for evaluation with assignments. Also, students who have submitted their dissertation prior to the lockdown will be evaluated on the basis of their submission.
