New Delhi: The Delhi University (DU) has received as many as 1,324 overseas applications for the 2021-22 academic year. This included 320 applications from Afghanistan.
According to the varsity’s Foreign Students’ Registry (FSR) admission committee, applications were received from a total of 61 countries.
Following the varsity’s invitation for online applications from foreign countries for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in April, it had received a huge response. The varsity received 185 applications from Nepal, 156 from Tibet, 10 from Vietnam, seven from Thailand, five from Sri Lanka, according to news agency PTI.
The FSR admission committee said that other applicants are from Bangladesh, China, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, and Jordan.
