New Delhi: Teachers from some Delhi University colleges boycotted online classes to protest against the alleged non-release of grants to 12 colleges fully funded by the Delhi government.
The Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) started a cluster-wise strike, with teaching staff from colleges like Gargi College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, and others boycotted their official duties.
According to media reports, the strike will continue till October 1.
The Delhi government and university administration have been at loggerheads over non-formation of governing bodies in 28 colleges, of which 12 are fully funded by the government.
The DUTA has also alleged that grants released by the Delhi government are inadequate and they have not been able to pay salaries to their employees since May.
