New Delhi: The Delhi University teachers and students have urged the administration to cancel the final semester examinations scheduled to begin on June 7.
The demand has been placed in view of the deaths of 50 professors and teachers of the varsity and its affiliated colleges due to the COVID-19.
On May 20, Delhi University had deferred semester exams for final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students for the second time and declared that the exams will begin on June 7.
The exams were earlier slated to commence on May 15 but were deferred to June 1 due to the rise in COVID-9 cases. The exams are to be conducted in online and open-book format.
