NEW DELHI: Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan launched the TeacherApp, an innovative digital platform designed to equip educators with future-ready skills to meet the demands of the 21st-century classrooms.
The TeacherApp has been developed by Bharti Airtel Foundation with a deep understanding of the challenges teachers face, drawing from on-ground experiences. Designed to impart traditional and future-ready skills, this platform offers innovative digital resources to help educators grow.
Wide availability
The free, user-friendly app, built with direct input from teachers, is accessible on the Web, iOS, and Android, ensuring wide availability for educators.
It provides over 260 hours of high-quality content, including courses, videos, podcasts, webinars and quizzes, aimed at enhancing teaching practices and boosting student engagement.
The app offers live expert sessions, providing practical strategies for classrooms, while fostering a community of teachers and sharing impactful stories. Through collaborations in 12 states, the app is set to drive transformative change in education.
Teaching kits
This platform has a unique section called Teaching Kits comprising content of 900 hours. This feature is designed to support teachers with tools Including teaching videos, project-based learning activities, worksheets, lesson plans, and question banks, among others for classroom delivery.
‘Elevating Teachers, Elevating India’
Speaking on the theme ‘Elevating Teachers, Elevating India’, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the app would empower educators by providing continuous professional development through innovative content, technology, and community-building tools.
Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, the app aims to build future-ready educators equipped to meet the evolving needs of education.
The event was attended by Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises; Mamta Saikia, CEO of Bharti Airtel Foundation; prominent dignitaries from the education sector, school principals, teachers, and BEd students.
