DRDO’s Scholarship For Female Engineering Students; Know How To Apply
Bhubaneswar: The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications from students pursuing an engineering degree (BTech or Mtech) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Rocketry, Avionics or Aircraft Engineering. However, the scholarships are only open for female students.
Eligible candidates can get themselves registered online for the DRDO Scholarship for Women through Aeronautics Research and Development Board (AR&DB) on or before November 15.

Who Can Apply: Any female engineering student pursuing Aerospace, Aeronautical, Rocketry, Avionics or Aircraft Engineering.
For Undergraduate Students: BTech/BE/BSC Engineering or equivalent degree, admitted in the first year of the current academic year (2020-21). Candidate should also have a valid JEE (Main) score. As many as 20 grants worth Rs 1,200,00/year or annual fees whichever is less for a maximum period of four years will be provided under the scheme.
For Postgraduate Students: (ME/M.TECH/M.Sc Engg) candidates should have secured admission in the 1st year of the current academic year (2020-21) to the relevant course. Candidate must have also scored a minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam (graduation level: BE/B Tech/B Engg. or equivalent) for getting admission to the subject course as per the guidelines set by AICTE/MHRD. In cases where the conversion formula is not obtainable, CGPA/CPI of 6.75 (for a 10-point scale) will be taken as equivalent to 60%, as per AICTE guidelines. Candidate should also have a valid GATE.
Students pursuing dual degree course or integrated master’s degree in the above-mentioned subjects may also apply to receive this scholarship only for first four years as applicable for BTech degree course under the above scheme, subject to fulfilling the eligibility requirements.

Selection Process:
a) First-year undergraduate scholarship (for 4-yr full-time course) will be done on the basis of merit in JEE (Main). Candidates without valid JEE (Main) score will not be considered.
b) First-year postgraduate scholarship (for 2 yr full-time course) will be chosen on the basis of valid GATE score on merit basis.
