New Delhi: A four-week training programme will be organised by the Delhi University for its officials on managing stress, developing motivation and acquiring leadership skills, a senior official said.
Assistant registrars, the varsity’s administrative officials and its affiliated colleges can participate in the programme commencing on February 21.
Besides stress management, the officials will be imparted training on handling financial matters like budgets and audits, ranking and administrative subjects pertaining to promotions and pension, etc.
“We will call various speakers to apprise the officers of various aspects… This four-week programme is for upgrading their skills and knowledge and is for Group A officers,” the university official was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
“During these testing times we also want to apprise the officers about handling stress. Everyone faces stress be it due to office work or due to issues at home and it is important to talk about how to tackle it,” he added.
The varsity closed the registration for the training programme on Saturday. The programme is free for Group A officers while others have to pay Rs 3,000 as a registration fee.
