New Delhi: Union Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, laid the foundation stone of the TiHAN Autonomous Navigation Testbed at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad on Tuesday.
During the event, Pokhriyal congratulated IIT-Hyderabad and said that he was happy to see the progress in research and innovation of the institute.
The education minister also spoke on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its different provisions for research. According to him, NEP 2020 will establish a new realm in the field of research and innovation. “It will not only take technology to the last person in India but will also take technology to new heights,” Pokhriyal said via a tweet.
“The day we begin to shift our focus from ‘package’ to ‘patent’, Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s dream of an #AatmanirbharBharat will be fulfilled,” the minister tweeted.
