While launching the UGC guidelines yesterday for the internship-integrated degree programmes, the minister said that now institutes should focus on the areas they can implement at the earliest and come up with an action plan regarding the implementation, as quoted by The Indian Express.
The National Education Policy was under the election manifesto of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in the 2014 general elections. It was recently approved by the Cabinet and replaced the 34-year-old education policy.
