Bhubaneswar: Eminent scientist Professor CNR Rao is not in favour of online classes for children as schools and institutions have introduced during the coronavirus-induced shutdown.
“I am not an enthusiast of online teaching. We need a human interface with students for good communication. That is how young minds can be inspired,” Professor Rao was quoted as saying by PTI.
The Linus Pauling Research Professor further stated that online classes for children in KG, first and second standard should be terminated.
Among other topics, Rao felt the country needed better preparedness in dealing with the problems of migrant workers in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. “We need to show more human concern and empathy,” he remarked.
