Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has urged the students residing on the campus to return homes to cut down the risk of exposure to COVID-19 on the premises.
The varsity has urged the students staying in the hostels and other campus residences that the appeal is being made in the best interest of the students, reported The New Indian Express.
Though the students testing positive have been isolated by the university, it has limited resources. The university will conduct classes online for all semesters.
The varsity will also conduct the end-semester evaluation in online/open book/take-home mode as was done during the second wave last year.
“We are making all efforts to address the evolving situation, we may be forced to escalate our decision further if the numbers increase,” UoH Vice-Chancellor Prof BJ Rao was quoted as saying by TNIE.
