Bhubaneswar: The fourth edition of the ‘technology and education’ event ‘SAITED’ organised by SAI International School here saw some inspiring ideas and innovative designs.
The event offered a perfect platform where the young minds from schools across Odisha proved their scientific temperament with unique solutions, which would bring about a transformative change in the lives of the specially-challenged people and address environmental concerns.
On display was a smart wheelchair, smart goggles for the visually challenged and a smoke absorber that would help us breathe clean air. Some of the other innovative works that drew attention was a hydraulic system for traffic management, earthquake detection system and LPG leak detection system.
Inaugurating the event, Minister of State for Industries and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Dibya Sankar Mishra urged the students to inculcate two important traits of Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik — simplicity and humility, and advised them to follow the principles of discipline, determination and self-belief to soar greater heights of success.
Founder of SAI International Education Group Bijaya Kumar Sahoo said the objective of SAITED is to develop an inclination for science and technology among students and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Vice Chairperson of SAI International Education Group Silpi Sahoo, Senior Advisor at Analysys Mason and former managing director of Reliance Jio Sandip Das also graced the occasion.
SAITED presented a wide gamut of events like SAITED Talk, MED Talk, TED Q, Tech Fair, workshops, games based on science and technology. Companies such as FEDCO, SPARC Pvt. Ltd, Batoi as well as Institutes like C.V.Raman and Institute of Life Science showcased their innovations at the Tech Fair.
