New Delhi: IIT Delhi, which is organising the 2020 Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), has announced the examination dates.
As per the newly launched GATE 2020 website by IIT Delhi, the exams will be conducted February 1, 2, 8 and 9. The results will be announced on March 16.
The examination would be purely a Computer Based Test (CBT).
GATE 2020 score will be valid for 3 years from the date of announcement of the results.
Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and or financial assistance to master’s programmes and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture.
GATE scores are also evaluated for admission to doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science, in the institutions supported by the HRD Ministry and other Government agencies.
Even in some colleges and institutions, which admit students without the HRD Ministry scholarship or assistantship, the GATE qualification is mandatory. Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.
