Gauhati University To Conduct Online And Offline Exams For All Students

Gauhati: Following the recent guidelines of University Grants Commission (UGC), the Gauhati University has decided to conduct examinations of all semesters/years in both online and offline mode.

Gauhati University Vice-Chancellor Dr Pratap Jyoti Handique said in a letter that there will be some form of examination for all the students. The exams, he informed, will be completed by September 30, 2020.

Dr Handique further stated that the exams will be conducted in an “exclusive and student-friendly procedure”, with marginal weightage to the online exams.

The University will announce the examination details and timetable as soon as lockdown ends in the Assam capital.

The university plans to resume pending activities once educational institutions are permitted to reopen, the Vice-Chancellor was quoted as saying.
