New Delhi: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) of at least two regions were asked to get their Class XII students to endorse Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to cancel class XII exams on June 1. As many as 51 Kendriya Vidyalaya principals in the Bangalore region that covers the whole of Karnataka got the WhatsApp message from the deputy commissioner for the region, Sirimala Sambana on Thursday.

“All principal (sic) Bangalore region. Please send at least 5 videos of hashtag/ retweet by your students ‘Thank You Modi Sir’ by 4pm today (Thursday) for onward transmission to… hq,” the message attributed to “DC Bangalore” was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

“Please share among teacher/ students, if not shared immediately, and get at least 5 videos,” added the message.

This was independently confirmed by the paper that a principal and a couple of teachers had received the message. It may be recalled that a crucial June 1 meeting chaired by PM Modi had scrapped the CBSE Class XII exams.
