Here’s What CBSE Directs Schools On Marking Students Scoring 95%-Plus

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools have been asked to maintain the percentages of students scoring 95% and above in class XII exactly similar to the reference year.

The CBSE has given the schools the reference year, to prepare the class XII results — the best result of past three academic years. Schools need to moderate the marks of class XII via alternative assessment policy.

It may be recalled that the CBSE could not hold class XII board exams in 2021 due to the COVID crisis.

“In case of marks 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 and 100, the percentage of number of students should be exactly similar to the reference year,” the CBSE said.

The board has also informed that the percentage of students should be broadly similar to the reference year for other mark bands.

The CBSE had extended the deadline for finalising class XII marks by schools till July 25. Earlier the last date was July 22.
