Himachal Girl Bags Rs 2.5 Crore Scholarship For Research
Kullu: Jaya Sagar, a girl from Manali, has bagged a scholarship of Rs 2.5 crore after being selected for the Zutshi-Smith scholarship program.
Jaya is the only Asian student to make it to the top 10 list among more than 400 applicants from across the globe. She has already left for the United Kingdom for a four-year postgraduate (PG) research program at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom.
Union Education Minister on Saturday took to Twitter and wrote, “Manali’s Jaya Sagar bagged Rs 2.5-cr scholarship for a #research program in the UK. She is the only student from #Asia to make it to the top 10 in the world from 400 plus applicants. Sending my good wishes to her.”

Jaya Sagar has completed her B.Tech in Electronics & Communication from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur. Now she is pursuing her PhD in quantum computing in the UK. Earlier, Jaya had earned praise and acclaim at the video conference of quantum technology held in Munich, Germany.
