Shimla: An official spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh government said on Saturday that the government has decided to reopen Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) from October 1, amid coronavirus pandemic.
State Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in cabinet meeting gave his green signal in restarting training activities in ITIs with effect from October 1 by following the COVID-19 guidelines circulated by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the spokesperson said.
The schools outside the containment zones have been opened from September 2 with 50 per cent teaching and non-teaching staff for students from Class IX to XII.
