Hurry Up! CAT 2025 Registration Window Closes Tomorrow

Candidates can register for CAT 2025 application at the official website, iimcat.ac.in and the exam is scheduled for November 30.

NEW DELHI: The last date to register online for the Common Admission Test (CAT) is 5 pm on September 20. Candidates can register for CAT 2025 application at the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode is conducting CAT 2025 this year. Professor PN Ram Kumar of IIM Kozhikode is the Convener for CAT 2025. The CAT 2025 registration started on August 1 and was scheduled to close on September 13, but candidates were given a week more to register for the entrance exam.

The convenor of CAT 2025 has urged the MBA aspirants willing to take CAT 2025 to use only the official website, iimcat.ac.in, for all application-related activities. In case of any fraudulent websites or suspicious activity, candidates are encouraged to report the matter immediately to the CAT helpdesk at cat2025_helpdesk@iimk.ac.in.

CAT 2025 will be conducted in three sessions on November 30. The duration of the test will be 120 minutes.

CAT 2025 is set to be held in approximately 170 cities. At the time of CAT 2025 application, candidates need to select any five test cities, as per their preference, from a drop-down menu. Candidates will be allotted one among the five preferred cities subject to availability. In the rare case that a candidate is not allotted any of the preferred cities, he/she will be allotted a nearby city.

For this year, the CAT registration fee is Rs 1,300 for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, while all other applicants, it is Rs 2,600.

Conducted annually, it evaluates candidates on three sections – verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), quantitative ability (QA), and data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR).

The CAT 2025 admit cards will be available for download from November 5.

Each IIM uses its respective criterion to shortlist candidates for the next stages, considering CAT scores, academic records, work experience, and diversity factors.

While CAT scores are critical, their weightage varies. IIMs in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta often give more importance to CAT scores, whereas newer IIMs may balance it with other factors including work experience, marks scored in Class 10, 12 and graduation, etc.
