NEW DELHI: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS PO Prelims Result 2026 for the candidates who appeared for the preliminary examination held on August 22 and 23.
Candidates can check qualifying status on the official result portal www.ibps.in using their registration number or roll number, password or date of birth.
The IBPS PO Prelims result link will remain active until September 30, 2026. The result indicates whether candidates have qualified for the Mains examination. The detailed scorecard and category-wise cut-off marks will be released later.

The preliminary examination was held on August 22 and 23. Candidates who have qualified will now appear for the Mains examination against the available vacancies.
The IBPS PO Mains examination is scheduled for October 4, 2026, as per the official IBPS examination calendar.
Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
The recruitment is being conducted under CRP PO/MT-XVI for Probationary Officer and Management Trainee posts across 11 participating public sector banks. The revised vacancy count has increased to 7,565 posts, from the earlier 6,715 vacancies.
IBPS PO 2026 schedule
- Prelims result: September 23, 2026

The call letter for the Main examination will be available for the candidates who have qualified the preliminary examination. Candidates need their registration number or roll number and password or date of birth to download the call letter.
The Prelims scorecard and cut-off marks are expected to be released later. Candidates should check the official IBPS website for further updates.
The IBPS PO recruitment initially announced 6,715 vacancies. The revised vacancy count now stands at 7,565 posts across 11 participating public sector banks.
