New Delhi: Students who wish to write their CA final exams in November 2023, can now commence their practical training, called, articleship, from June 30, 2021. Earlier, students were required to start latest from April 30, said the Institute of Chartered Accountancy (ICAI).
In a tweet, ICAI said, “Important announcement regarding extension of the time period for commencement of practical training which was to start from April 30, has been extended to June 30 for appearing in final exam to be held in November 2023.”
This requirement was necessitated for those students who qualified for either of the groups or both the groups of Intermediate/IPCC examinations that were held in November 2020/January 2021.
“Those who are not able to commence their practical training due to lockdown in various parts of the country, will be allowed to commence their training on or before June 30, 2021. Such candidates would be allowed to appear in the Final examination to be held in November 2023,” said an official notification.
Due to COVID 19 pandemic, CA intermediate and final exams which were scheduled for May 2021 have also been postponed by the ICAI.
ICAI communicated that the new exam schedule would be announced at least 25 days before the beginning of exams, Education Times reported.
