IGNOU Extends Re-registration Deadline Until January 31

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the re-registration deadline for the January 2026 session of all programmes offered in ODL and online mode to January 31.

The university’s re-registration is mandatory for all existing learners who wish to continue their programmes in the upcoming cycle.

Students can log in to update their details, choose courses, and pay the required fee for the next semester or year.

The re-registration form is available on the official portal, ignou.samarth.edu.in.

How to re-register for the IGNU January 2026 session exam

Step 1: Visit the official website ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Open the re-registration link under “Register Online.”

Step 3: Read all instructions on the portal.

Step 4: Log in with the required credentials and fill in personal details and selected courses.

Step 5: Upload documents, if required, and make the fee payment.

Step 6: Review the form, submit it, and download the confirmation page and receipt.

CII Job drive

The IGNOU has collaborated with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to organise a job drive. The recruitment drive will be held on January 19, 2026, from 10.30 am onwards.

Interested students can visit the venue of the fair, which is the IGNOU Regional Centre, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, opposite the Nirman University.

As stated in the press release, some leading companies from the IT, banking, automobile, electronics, E-commerce, hospitality, telecommunication and insurance sectors are participating in the job fair.

The University and the CII have listed some recruiters who are offering competitive salary packages. Such companies have been listed positions for customer care executives (CCE) in backend operations and team and crew members in quick service restaurants.
