IGNOU Introduces AICTE-Approved MBA Courses

New Delhi: The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme and MBA in Banking and Finance programme were launched by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

The MBA course is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates need to apply for the July session MBA programme on the official site, ignou.ac.in.

The MBA programme is considered as the flagship one of the university and has been restructured based on the industry-academia needs.

Candidates belonging to the general category need to have 50 per cent marks in Bachelor’s degree and for the reserved category candidates, they need 45 percent marks to apply for both the MBA courses. Candidates from India and few foreign countries are eligible to apply for the course.

The varsity will not conduct any entrance examination for the courses. There will be five specialisations — Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management, and Services Management.

The programme will be of minimum 2-year duration and maximum 4 years.
