Bangalore: Over 130 companies made 529 offers for all 525 eligible students, including PGP and PGP BA programmes of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore. All of them got recruited online for the summer placements, reported The Indian Express.
An official IIM-B statement revealed that a total of 144 offers were made for consulting, 71 for finance, banking and investments, 95 for marketing and sales, 81 for leadership or general management track, 93 for Information Technology, and 27 for the operations sector.
The first batch of IIM-B’s PGP-BA programme students received offers from all the domains. Accenture, Amazon, Bain, BCG, Kearney, McKinsey etc were the top recruiters.

IIM-B student placement representative, Anushree Jibhakate, said “Traditional recruiters have supported us by bringing in new roles across divisions. New recruiters have come in”, while also stating that apart from consulting, many offers were made for S&M, general management and finance.
Chairperson of MBA in Business Analytics, Professor U Dinesh Kumar called the offers from prominent companies a show of faith in the IIM-B analytics programme.
