New Delhi: IIM Bangalore and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship on Wednesday announced the launch of a fellowship programme to attract bright minds into the skills domain.
The two-year ‘Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship’ will be delivered by IIM Bangalore’s Centre of Public Policy.
The fellowship will be launched on a pilot basis in Gujarat, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Eligibility:
Eligible fellows should be a graduate from a recognised university between 21 and 30 years of age.
“The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship programme is aimed to identify and train a group of young, committed and dynamic individuals, who will leverage the IIM Bangalore ecosystem in management, entrepreneurship and public policy and work with the district administration in strengthening the process of skilling to create a vibrant local district economy”, IIM Bangalore Director G Raghuram said in a statement.
We are certain this programme will attract great talent, which will further strengthen the skill component at the district administration level,” Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship K.P Krishnan said.
The fellows will be awarded a certificate in public policy and management from IIM Bangalore on successful completion of the project.
