Kolkata: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta’s MBA batch of 2021 recorded 100 per cent placement in the campus recruitment drive. All 467 students who participated in the process got jobs, a statement from the institute said on Saturday.
The placement process at IIM Calcutta was conducted virtually throughout the week till March 3. It saw more than 530 job offers for the 467 students, reported news agency PTI.
A total of 172 firms took part in the final placement process, with the average and median salaries leaping to ₹29 lakh and ₹27 lakh per annum respectively, the release said.
Among the total of 149 students, 32 per cent opted for jobs in the consulting sector. As many as 90 students were shortlisted by top investment banking, asset management and private equity venture capital firms.
Meanwhile, the XLRI-Xavier School of Management’s MBA batch of 2021 too saw all the 358 students securing jobs, a release by the Jamshedpur-based institute said.
The XLRI’s final recruitment process witnessed the participation of 108 recruiters, coming up with 370 domestic and international offers.
The median salary offered to the batch was at ₹23 lakh per annum and the average salary rose to ₹25.08 lakh per annum.
