IIM Indore To Roll Out Executive Prog For Politicians, Bureaucrats
Indore: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is in talks with the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie to offer an executive training programme for politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen.
The aim of the programme will be to help representatives from these three diversified fields understand one other’s problems and find a solution, news agency PTI said in a report.
“A lot is being talked about across the world on ease of doing business. Through our proposed curriculum, we want to make the topic relevant to the Indian context in order to improve coordination among the lawmakers, officials and businessmen and to speed up the country’s development”, the institute director Himanshu Rai said.
LBSNAA is the premier training institute for freshly recruited IAS officers while IIM Indore is one of the best management schools in the country, known for its unique programmes.
Rai said the blueprint for the proposed executive programme will be ready by January next year, implying that the programme can be offered from the next academic session itself. He said the idea of starting this programme gained ground after both the institutes signed an MoU recently to strengthen technical cooperation.
Recently, IIM Lucknow has started a similar training programme. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his entire cabinet colleagues attended a session last month.
