BHUBANESWAR: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Dhenkanal has announced two new Master’s degree programmes from the 2026–27 academic session— MA in Corporate Communication and Brand Management (MA-CCBM) and MA in Media and Communication Governance (MA-MCG).
The IIMC, a Deemed to be University, has announced admissions for the 2026–27 academic session through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Online registration for CUET (PG) 2026 has already begun and the last date to apply is January 20, 2026. Interested candidates can apply through the CUET-PG portal, exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.
Announcing the launch, Prof. Anand Pradhan, Regional Director, IIMC: Dhenkanal, said: “With the introduction of MA in Corporate Communication and Brand Management and MA in Media and Communication Governance, IIMC Dhenkanal is strengthening its academic portfolio in line with evolving industry needs and India’s rapidly transforming media and communication ecosystem.”
These programmes have been designed to build strong conceptual foundations along with high-impact professional capabilities, enabling students to take up leadership roles across media, communication, public policy, branding, and governance-related sectors, he said.
MA in Media and Communication Governance (MA-MCG) is open to CUET-PG scores in Mass Communication and Journalism, Economics, Political Science, Law, and Sociology streams.
MA in Corporate Communication and Brand Management (MA-CCBM) is open to CUET-PG scores in Mass Communication and Journalism, Economics, Commerce, and General stream.
In the same admission notice for 2026–27, IIMC has announced admissions to four other MA programmes across its campuses, including:
MA in Media Business Studies (Delhi)
MA in Strategic Communication (Delhi)
MA in New Media Communications (Delhi, Jammu, Aizawl and Kottayam)
MA in Health Communication (Delhi)
The PG Diploma programmes also covered under CUET-PG admission process.
IIMC has also notified admissions to its Post Graduate Diploma programmes, including:
PG Diploma in Journalism (English)
PG Diploma in Journalism (Hindi)
PG Diploma in Radio & TV Journalism
PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations
Eligibility
For the MA programmes, Indian nationals holding a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply. Students who are in their final year/semester of graduation are also eligible, subject to conditions specified in the admission notice. There is no age limit for MA programmes.
How to apply
Candidates must register online for CUET (PG) 2026 through the National Testing Agency.
The last date to submit online applications is 20 January 2026.
