IIMC Director-General Calls On Maharashtra Guv To Discuss Setting Up Of Amravati Centre

Mumbai: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) director-general Sanjay Dwivedi called on Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to hand over a copy of the special edition of the institute’s research journal ‘Sanchar Madhyam’ on the topic ‘100 Years of Media Education in India’ and discuss plans of setting up of the Amravati centre.

Dwivedi also apprised the governor of the IIMC’s progress over the years. In return, Koshyari complimented the institute and lauded the director-general for the IIMC’s significant contributions to media education and research.

The governor said that a renowned journalist like Dwivedi has undoubtedly contributed to the new generation’s formation. “His experience, dedication and effort has paved the path to progress in whichever institution he has been a part of,” Koshyari was quoted as saying by ABP Education.

He also noted IIMC’s various innovations in the last year, and how they set an example for other media education institutions across the country.
