IIT-Delhi, Business Sweden Join Hands For Clean Air & Green Energy

New Delhi: To enhance cooperation in the field of clean air and green energy, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has joined hands with the Swedish Trade and Invest Council, Business Sweden.

This is aimed at identifying mutual collaboration opportunities, introducing innovative solutions to the industry and academia, reported NDTV.

IIT-Delhi director Professor V Ramgopal Rao and Trade and Invest Commissioner of Sweden to India, Cecilia Oskarsson, signed the agreement.

Professor Rao spoke about the need for clean energy that the country needs to achieve its target pledged at COP26, Glasgow. It is also intended to bring its economy’s carbon intensity down to 45 per cent by 2030 and fulfil 50 per cent of its energy requirement through renewable energy by 2030, an IIT-Delhi statement read.

Three main focus areas of this collaboration include industry-academia collaboration for co-creation of next-generation solutions and university level collaborations for the expertise and student exchange, added the statement.
