New Delhi: IIT Delhi will set up a space technology cell for taking up advanced research in space science.
IIT Delhi Director V Ramgopal Rao said the institute will join hands with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to set up the cell.
ISRO chairman K Sivan is slated to attend the 50th annual convocation of IIT Delhi on Saturday, during which a formal announcement about the cell will me made.
At present, IITs in Bombay, Kanpur, Bangalore, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee have dedicated space technology cells, making contribution to India’s space mission.
