Guwahati: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, and Kaziranga University (KU), Jorhat, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.
This agreement will result in closer engagement in curriculum enhancement, research and development, besides improving the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The premier engineering institute will also assist KU in establishing advanced laboratories for experimental work in engineering and sciences, reported ABP Education.
IIT Guwahati director TG Sitharam and KU vice-chancellor PK Mishra signed the MoU while an overview of the institute and its various programmes were given by KU registrar Diganta Munshi.
IIT Guwahati’s Outreach Education Programme dean, Kalpesh Kapoor facilitated the event and ended it with an expectation that both institutes will forge close bonds in multidisciplinary areas, according to the report.
