Chennai: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has invited applications from school students for the Global Water Challenge Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
The last date to fill application forms is April 30.

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) in India is aimed at nurturing the passion and talents of young scientists, engineers and innovators. The competition empowers the youth to positively impact their communities and also contributes to building a sustainable and water-secure future for the nation and the world.
The top 25 teams, to be selected through a rigorous process by subject matter experts, will undergo training in presentation skills and receive certificates from SJWP India and IIT Madras.
From those 25, 10 outstanding teams will be honoured with the National Water Champions Award.
The winners of the water prize will represent India at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, to be held from August 25 to 29 as part of World Water Week.
The competition in India will be hosted by Sustainability Venture Studio at School of Sustainability, IIT Madras, in partnership with Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI).
