New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to deliver the India International Science Festival’s (IISF) inaugural address via video conferencing on Tuesday, December 22, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said on Sunday.
The India International Science Festival is conceptualised to promote scientific temper in society. It is being held by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences in association with Vijnana Bharati.
The IISF is a celebration to promote science and technology and was launched in 2015, reported news agency PTI.
The festival is aimed at engaging the public with science, celebrate the joy of science and show how Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) can provide solutions to improve lives.
The IISF-2020 serves the purpose for the youth to develop 21st-century skills focussing on scientific knowledge, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork.
