BHUBANESWAR: Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) hosted an enlightening talk session featuring Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman of ISRO, Secretary of the Department of Space, and Chairman of the Space Commission.
The event, held on the OUTR campus, offered students a rare opportunity to interact with one of the nation’s foremost space scientists and delve into India’s remarkable space journey.
The session witnessed the presence of OUTR Vice-Chancellor Dr. Bibhuti Bhusan Biswal, and NIT Rourkela former Director Dr. Sunil Kumar Sarangi and other distinguished academicians and faculty members.
In his address, Dr. Narayanan offered deep insights into India’s advancements in space technology and highlighted the growing role of youth in contributing to the country’s space exploration goals.
“By 2040, in the space sector, India will be second to none,” he said, sparking inspiration and ambition among the students.
His interaction with the students expanded their understanding of space science and encouraged them to explore the multitude of opportunities available in the field.
The programme was organised with the coordinated efforts of Prof. Achyutananda Acharya, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Prof. Ashis Jena, Registrar of OUTR and other faculty members.
