A ‘mood of the nation’ survey released by IIT Madras alumni Association has said two-third of the people who participated was optimistic about India’s socio-economic progress in the coming decade.
The survey found that the mood of the respondents about India by 2030 was “highly positive”, with 74 per cent asserting that India’s economic situation will be better than today, media reports said.
More than 2,200 respondents were covered in the survey, 38 per cent of whom were women and 37 per cent were students.
The study was released at IIT Madras Alumni Association meeting. A report titled ‘Reimagining India in 2030’ was also released at the meet. It contained 38 recommendations and eight challenges to meet 22 objectives to envision a new India by 2030, reports said.
