ISC Result 2021: CISCE To Consider Class XI, XII Marks; Check Details Here

New Delhi: A formula has been developed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) to compute the Indian School Certificate (ISC) marks for 2021.

The board has released the assessment scheme, which includes student’s marks in Class X board exams, project, practical work in subjects, best marks obtained in school exams in Classes XI and XII, and best performance of the school itself in the last six years.

The CISCE decision was arrived at on the basis of data from 2015 to 2020, which was submitted in the Supreme Court on Thursday. The Court approved the formula and asked the board to upload the same on the official website. The ISC result 2021 is expected to be released by July 20.

The components used to arrive at the ISC result formula are the project and practical work in the subjects; the candidates’ performance in the school examinations in the subjects in Classes IX and X, measured through their best marks obtained in the two years (it is referred to as raw marks) and the best performance of the school in the last six years.

“The first two factors measure the subject proficiency of the candidates, while the last is a measure of the general quality of the schools the candidates are appearing from,” CISCE said via an official statement.

“To arrive at the weights, detailed analyses were performed on the data from the past board examinations from the years 2015 to 2020,” the statement added.
