New Delhi: To reduce the learning gap owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) gave a green signal to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education to provide technical assistance for satellite TV classrooms across the country.
ISRO scientists made a detailed presentation before the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Education about the proposed satellite TV classroom for students on Friday.
“Scientists from ISRO attended the meeting today and made a presentation about the use of satellite TV classrooms for the students before the officials of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) and Doordarshan,” sources were quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Meanwhile, ISRO scientists stressed that the organisation is keen on providing satellite rights to states to start satellite television classrooms but raised a question of whether the “States will be willing to use the technology.”
