Bhubaneswar: The question papers for JEE Advanced 2020, which was held on Sunday, were moderately difficult according to experts.
Around 1.6 lakh candidates had registered for the IIT entrance tests, with the exams being held in 1000 centres across the country in two shifts — 9 am to 12 noon, and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
The total number of questions (54) remained the same as last year. However, the total marks was 198 marks, compared to 186 last year.
Students found chemistry questions to be easy to moderate, physics moderate but Maths was relatively difficult.
Some students complained that the Physics was fairly lengthy, though within the syllabus.
In chemistry, students felt there were fewer questions on organic chemistry compared to inorganic and physical chemistry.
Mathematics, was ‘calculative and lengthy’ with more questions from algebra and calculus.
