JEE Main 2021: Students Seek More Gap Between Third & Fourth Sessions

Mumbai: Aspirants for the JEE Main 2021 have asked for more gap between the two terms of the engineering entrance exam.

The April and May session exams of the JEE Main 2021, which could not be conducted on time in view of the COVID-19 crisis, will now be conducted in July-August. It will take 14 days to complete both the sessions of the entrance exam.

The two earlier sessions of the JEE Main 2021 took place in February and March. The February session exam was conducted between February 23 and 26, and the March session between March 16 and 18. This provided the students with a gap of more than 15 days between the two sessions.

The JEE Main April and May session exams, which were later deferred, had almost a month’s gap between the sessions.

However, the latest schedule announced on July 6 gave only a day’s gap between the two sessions. According to the schedule, the April session exam concludes on July 25 while the May session starts on July 27.

Objecting to this, the students have demanded that the gap be increased between the sessions.

“JEE Mains 3rd & 4th attempts are clashing with others exams like board, universities entrance and many others exams. NSUI demands new dates for JEE mains exam. #JusticeForJEEAspirants,” students’ union, NSUI, tweeted.

Several others have requested the postponement of the exam.
