JEE Main April 2020 Registration Begins Today; Details Here

The online registration process of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main April 2020 begins today on the official website: www.jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date for JEE Main April 2020 registrations is March 7. As per reports, all the candidates who appeared for the JEE Main January 2020 examination can also apply for April exam.

Education

Anyone who has cleared class 12/+II with at least five subjects. Though the JEE Main question paper is based on PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) it is not necessary to have these as main subjects.

Age Limit The official notification by NTA has invited applications from students who have cleared class 12 exam in 2018, 2019 and are appearing for in 2020. Moreover, the IITs allow only two attempts for the JEE (Advanced), that is, a candidate should have appeared for the class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2019 or 2020.

Application Fee

  • The male candidates (General/ OBC) category have to pay an application fee of Rs 500/-
  • The reserve category candidates and women applicants have to pay Rs 250/- as application fee.

How to Apply

In order to apply online for NTA JEE Main 2020, candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Log on to the official website of JEE Main 2020: jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on the link “JEE MAIN April 2020 Registration”
  • Click on “New Registration’ if you are applying for the first time
  • Make your login account by entering the required information
  • Login using your credentials
  • Fill in the application form in the prescribed format
  • Pay the application fee
  • Click on ‘Submit’

List of Documents Needed

The applicant should keep these documents ready before applying –

  • Class 10 mark sheet
  • Class 12 or an equivalent exam mark sheet
  • Diploma or degree course certificate/ mark sheet, academic details, employment certificates (if any)
  • Reservation certificates (if applicable).

As per the official notification, the JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75 per cent marks in the 12th class board exam, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.

For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65 per cent in the 12th board examination.

Important Dates

  • JEE Main April 2020 Admit card will be released on March 16.
  • JEE Main April 2020 exam would be conducted on April 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11. The result of the examination would be available on April 30.
