Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has decided to reopen Engineering, Diploma and Degree colleges by November 17. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by B S Yediyurappa, reported NDTV.
Talking to the reporters, Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan said, “In a meeting that took place under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister it was decided to reopen degree colleges from November 17.”
Saying that students could opt for online, offline, or blended learning, Narayan added, “Students can register online. Those students wanting to attend classes by coming to colleges should have consent from their parents. Depending on the strength- how the classes have to be held, in how many batches- everything will be decided along with all the necessary safety SOPs,”
He also mentioned that all safety measures of students who will stay at SC/ST, social welfare and OBC hostels will be taken, along with transport arrangements to ensure that the classes are conducted without any problems.
