Karnataka Schools To Reopen Post Discussion With Experts & Health Officials

Bengaluru: Schools in Karnataka will reopen only after discussion with experts, health officials and other relevant people, the state’s Education minister S Suresh Kumar said on Thursday.

“We have not taken a decision to reopen schools yet. All aspects will be discussed carefully and suggestions will be taken from experts, health officials and other departments before taking a call,” he said.

On Thursday, the Tamil Nadu said it will not reopen schools on November 16 as had been decided earlier.

Shimla closed down schools after they reopened as COVID-19 cases spiked in Himachal Pradesh.

Some other states like Goa are scheduled to reopen schools from November 21.
